Spacecraft Status

The AIM spacecraft had another smooth week of operations. All systems continue to operate nominally. The operations team continued developing, reviewing, testing, and loading the Relative Time-tagged Sequences to improve spacecraft autonomous operations. We had several longer than normal periods of uplink receiver bitlock. On Wednesday, April 9th, we had two long periods totaling 12 hours.

Instrument Status

The SOFIE instrument is working perfectly and autonomously. 100% of science measurements are being transmitted and ingested into the SOFIE data system. Level 2 data is now released through March and level 1 data through April 8.

One operational change is scheduled. A slight reduction in the sun senor sample dwell time is planned for CMOS pixels used in center multi-pixel sums measurements. This will improve the linearity of those measurements and reduce the uncertainty in transmission profiles obtained from those measurements. Those transmission profiles are part of the solar edge model used to infer refraction angle. This dwell time change will also enable the sun sensor measurements to be used for accurate ozone retrievals in the stratosphere, a product of opportunity, not part of the original SOFIE science.

CIPS continues to provide excellent science data from all four cameras. Further, our analysis of on-orbit calibration data shows that camera sensitivity has changed less than 0.5% since launch. CIPS data sequencing automatically switched from the Southern to Northern Hemisphere on the first day of spring, as planned

CDE is on and collecting dust impact data following the completion of the Recovery ATS. Temperatures and voltages are nominal. CDE Version 2 data processing is being implemented for Levels 1 (Charge) and 2 (Mass).
